I’ve mentioned these recipes a couple times, so finally here they are! The cheese ball is downright delicious but then again what cheese isn’t? But that vegetarian stuffing had even the meat eaters asking for the recipe, so I’d have to say it was pretty delicious. Keep in mind these recipes are big enough for sharing but not recipes to keep tucked away for only Thanksgiving-make sure to enjoy them year round!
Pineapple Cheese Ball
What you’ll need
2 packages of 8oz. cream cheese (softened)
1 can 8oz. crushed pineapple (drained)
1/4 cup green pepper (finely chopped)
3 tbs. green onion (finely chopped)
2 tsp. salt
1 cup pecans
Step 1: Combine cream cheese, pineapple, pepper, onion, salt and pecans.
Step 2: Let chill until firm & shape into ball.
Vegetarian Stuffing (So stinking delicious)
What you’ll need:
2 Sticks Butter
3 Tbs. Fresh Sage (Chopped)
1 Large White Onion (Chopped)
1 Carrot (Chopped)
2 Apples (Chopped-Leave skins on)
3 Cloves Garlic (Chopped)
1 Can Vegetable Broth
1/2 Cup Craisins
1/4 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper
1 Loaf Day Old French Bread (Torn into 1/2 inch squares)
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 & place bread in a casserole dish.
Step 2: Melt butter in large pan over medium heat. Once melted add sage, onion, celery and carrots until onions are translucent.
Step 3: Add garlic, apples, salt and pepper. Cook apples for 2 minutes.
Step 4: Add vegetable broth, season with cayenne and more salt and pepper. Saute for 2 minutes. Add cranberries.
Step 5: Pour liquid over bread & mix well.
Step 6: Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
